I ran for office in 2016 because I felt it was time for a change and the office was in need of a new vision, new ideas, and transparency. I made a promise to give ALL victims of crime a voice because for years, too many went unheard. A victim without a voice is denied justice. With your trust and support, I was elected, and changes were immediately made. Whether it's a violent crime or child support arrears, my staff and I take moral fairness and administration of the law very seriously.
That is justice.
Although we have achieved many goals in my first term, THERE IS MORE I WANT TO DO!
VETERANS COURT
Many service men and women have difficulty adjusting to civilian life. At times, those
difficulties result in violations of the law. A Veterans Court is a shared process that includes the prosecutor, defense counsel, Judge, the Department of Veteran Affairs and other community based support organizations. The goal of a Veterans Court is to rehabilitate and restore veterans as active, contributing members of their community.
COLD CASE UNIT
Medina County, like every county, has cases that are "cold." Advancements in
technology, particularly in the area of DNA, give us the opportunity to take a fresh
look at these cases and potentially find justice for victims and their families.
These are some of the goals I want to pursue in my next term.
